Venezuelan Amazon being destroyed by illegal mining - CGTN América

The environmental cost of a surge in gold mining in Venezuela has been exposed by satellite images, showing dozens of mines on the summit of a remote mountain in the state of Amazonas, in the south of the country. The Venezuelan government has pledged to clamp down on illegal mining.
