Flight to Aprada Tepuy, entering the Phantom Falls in low flight during the dry season, with little water, which allows a helicopter to enter through a 400 meter crack. The flight continues through another 1 km crack towards El Haicha Tepuy. In Sierra de Lema we reached the spectacular El Carrao waterfall in the middle of the jungle. On leaving, we headed to El Escalón waterfall. Finally, we pass through the Salto de Eutobarima, also known as Salto El Humo (100 meters high) in the shape of a horseshoe with a large hole next to the fall, which creates a “smoke” or “mist” that can be seen long before reaching the falls. It is the waterfall with the largest volume of water in the Caroní River. All these falls are located in the Canaima National Park, a World Heritage Site.
